Now we have new possibilities in Christ. We have a great gain from His death and resurrection.
In psalm 84:10 we read the following:
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else];
I would rather be a doorkeeper
and stand at the threshold in the house of my God
than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness.
Why do the sons of Korah say this? Because at the temple was the place where God was present. There was the place where the people could meet with God. The sons of Korah loved so much God (at this time) that they wanted to be in His presence all the time. When you love somebody yo want to spend as much time with him or her. The same happens when you love God… you want to be with Him, to talk with God in prayer, to be in His presence.
So where is the gain in our times? Please read what Jesus said in John 4:21:
Jesus said to her,
Woman, believe Me,
a time is coming when you will worship the Father
neither [merely] in this mountain nor [merely] in Jerusalem [at the temple].
and in John 4:23 it says
A time will come, however,
indeed it is already here,
when the true (genuine) worshipers
will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality);
for the Father is seeking just such people
as these as His worshipers.
So what is with all this? The great gain is that we can worship God everywhere we are. The thing is to have the right attitude towards God, to live in the Spirit and to do His deeds.
So, today we can experience God anywhere and have the same joy that the sons of Korah had when they stand at the threshold in the house of God.

Do Not Despair, But Trust Into The Lord Because He Controls The Course Of World Events
Read and hear this with your hart:
21 God controls the course of world events;
He removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the scholars.22 He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light.Daniel 2:21-22
Did you get it? God is in control. Yes He is. He knows your current situation. He knows what you are struggling with. So WHAT if He knows and in the same time He does not change it. Why God does not change the things so I would feel better, so all those problems and frustration would disappear?
We are assured and know that
[God being a partner in their labor
or/and God works all things with them]
all things work together
and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God
and are called according to [His] design and purpose.Romans 8:28
See… all things work together for good and for those who love God, and God does it so. Also please read the next line. We see it’s a matter of love. So, do you love God? Do you really do? What means to love God?
Jesus answered,
If a person [really] loves Me,
he will keep My word [obey My teaching];
and My Father will love him,
and We will come to him
and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.John 14:23
So now, from the course of world events and the things that happen daily in our life we found out that we have to keep God’s word, to obey Him.
Maybe you will say… I’ve been faithful to God, I obeyed Him, and now look what terrible things are happening to me. Yes that is true. You have a holly life. So God loves you. This means that what is happening now it is for your own good. We don’t see what’s around the corner. We don’t understand God’s mighty plan in all it’s beauty. Maybe you are discouraged and frustrated. Yes, it’s OK in the first time. But now your eyes have the opportunity to be opened and understand that God is in control. This is an eye opener. So what should we do then?
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything,
but in every circumstance and in everything [even when it is hard],
by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving,
continue to make your wants known to God.
Philippians 4:6
What we learn is to bring our worries and thoughts to Jesus. Tell them to Him directly by prayer. Have some time just with Him and tell Him what’s on your mind and what is troubling you. In the same time fight the good fight loving Him. This means to do your best to obey God. And if it happens to fail sometimes, watch this…
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord,
and not rather that he should turn from his evil way and return [to his God] and live?Ezekiel 18:23
My little children,
I write you these things
so that you may not violate God’s law and sin.
But if anyone should sin,
we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father
–[it is] Jesus Christ
[the all] righteous [upright, just,
Who conforms to the Father's will in every purpose, thought, and action].1 John 2:1
So do not desperate, trust into the Lord because He controls the course of world events.
Reading the scriptures and observing the real life I observe that there is a fight between two facts.
God tells us to Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people; and walk in the whole way that I command you, that it may be well with you. (Jeremiah 7:23) On the other hand, we want to perform some kind of ritual. It seems that it is in our nature to do things instead of obeying God. I Jeremiah 7:22 it tells to the Israel people that in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. We think that we would get out just with making something. We try to change something outside of us instead of changing something inside of us.
Maybe that is why there are so many religions out there. All want to work out some processions and to receive the self fulfillment. More or less, our conscience accuses us. In out deepest part of the soul, we want to be free of this. Maybe we do not realize it. Instead of doing the real change within us we try to escape with doing something exterior.
Christianity did not escape of this plague of exteriorism faith. We created so many rituals and processions like all the other religions out there. At the base of Christianity is the only and true God, but because of our sinful nature, we made it just a religion like all the others, a religion of rituals instead one of faith and obeying. Instead of living in the light I am walking in the gray area. My conscience accuses me, so I feel guild. This guilt hurts. In this situation I want to escape the guilt. So, I try to make it go away by performing some rituals. But actually doing so I am treating the result, not the cause. I try to make go way the resulting grief.
The prophet Jeremiah tells us from the Lord:
5 For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings,
if you thoroughly and truly execute justice between every man and his neighbor,6 If you do not oppress the transient and the alien,
the fatherless,
and the widow
or shed innocent blood
[by oppression and by judicial murders]
or go after other gods to your own hurt,7 Then I will cause you to dwell in this place,
in the land that I gave of old to your fathers
to dwell in forever.
Jeremiah 7:5-7
I encourage you to continue those thoughts. Please let us all know how do you feel about this, how your inner being tries to get away with performing rituals. Thank you!
29 Thus says the king:
Let not Hezekiah deceive you.
For he will not be able to deliver you out of my hand.
30 Nor let Hezekiah make you trust in and rely on the Lord,
saying, The Lord will surely deliver us,
and this city will not be given into the hand of Assyria’s king.
31 Hearken not to Hezekiah,
for thus says the king of Assyria:
Make your peace with me and come out to me,
and eat every man from his own vine
and fig tree and drink every man the waters of his own cistern,
32 Until I come and take you away
to a land like your own,
a land of grain and vintage fruit,
of bread and vineyards,
of olive trees and honey,
that you may live and not die.
Do not listen to Hezekiah when he urges you,
saying, The Lord will deliver us.
2 Kings 18:29-32
This passage is part of a larger one that describes Assyria’s army siege over Jerusalem. Here, Rabshakeh, one of the leaders of the Assyrian army, talks to the people of Jerusalem, trying to discourage them.
This ancient event resembles with something very contemporary. In the same way the Devil’s servants come to us trying to discourage us. We might have a good new pastor, one that really fears and obeys God. So the Devil sends a greater army to deceive us, to destroy us. In the same way we are promised earthly rewards. We are promised wealth and peace. But only the peace that comes from God is the real peace. The one that is not only exterior but the one that is also in our hearts and the most important will last for ever.
Devil wants to surrender to him. See in verse 31 the process that we are called to subscribed to, by the Devil. We have to stop listening to God and to any of His people. We have to make peace with the Devil, the lord of this world. We are called to subdue to him. And by doing us we are promised great wealth and the so called peace. In the same way the Anti-Christ will charm the whole word.
We have to be strong. To know in Whom we trust, to know our identity in Christ . So we have not to be charmed and fooled by this word that offers us the illusion of happiness and peace.
Peace I leave with you;
My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you.
Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled,
neither let them be afraid.
[Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed;
and do not permit yourselves to be fearful
and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]John 14:27
The only genuine peace and happiness we find in God. So, please, do not get fooled by the lord of this world.
