05.22.08Graphic Design Styro Stone Romania brochure - update
A few days ago, I updated the brochure I created for Styro Stone Romania. You can see here the first brochure I did for Styro Stone for Suceava. Actually, I continuously updated this brochure for Styro Stone. Styro Stone Romania grew. Styro Stone Romania has opened new offices all over the country. The business is growing. I am really happy for them. One day, when I’ll have the money for a house, I will choose their system to build my home.

I know somebody that is rich in goodness, that is kindest person I ever meet and has given me great abundant blessings. He has such a soft voice and such a powerful hand. The best advices come from Him, because is more than a doctorate in the human soul. He understands my needs, my desires. And in the same time, He gives me what I need, not what my desires. I am much happier like this because most of the times I really don’t know what is the best for me, I don’t know myself good enough and I don’t know my future, what is ahead.

05.25.07Joomla! the Open Source Master?
Last night I started to learn Joomla! I must admit that I didn’t know anything about Open Source Content Management Systems.
In the first place, I did some research to see it it is worth learning Joomla! I found out that Joomla! is a really good CMS. It has a lot of free modules, plug-ins and so on. Later I stumbled on the fact that most of them, have a free entry version, and the really good cookies are for money. So no more Open Source anymore.
I am just a beginner, so it will take some time until I’ll show you what I come up with. Hopefully it will not be too long.

For my project Program to Stimulate Sales at Snowy I did 2 designs for the snowboards Back (freeride) and Exo (freestyle)
For this project I also did the Snowy logo, Snowy cap/hat, Snowy t-shirts.

05.17.07More is Less
What I mean with the title is that giving more choices to the customers, you actually get less profit. This happens because
- the customers freezes when sees so many choices and does not know what to buy. This means a waste of time, when he/she could have bought and come again to buy some more.
- when the customer finally decides about his choice, he/she ends up less satisfied with the choice made, than there would be less options to chose from, because:
- it the result of the choice is not perfect, then it is easy to imagine how it would have been if you choose better. So, you regret the decision you made and this subtracts from the satisfaction you had making the decision you did. The more options there are, the easier to regret your option is.
- the value of something depends on what you compare that thing to
- when you choose to do a thing you choose not to do others
- with all the options available, the expectation raise
- everything was better back when everything was worse because back then you could have had pleasant surprises
- raise of the clinical depression because people have fell bad because bad choices they made when there was so much to chose from.
The secret to happiness is low expectations. What enables all of this choice is the material affluence. So, Barry recommends to give our extra choice to the others that have no choice.

05.16.07BIR: On Brand - Wally Olins
2 weeks ago I ordered On Brand by Wally Olins from Comunicare.ro publishing house. I got the book in a few days.
The author knows what he’s talking about. Besides that, I like his writing style. It also helped me with the project I have for my MBA (Program to Stimulate Sales at Snowy). I did not finish the book yet, but it already helped me to understand mor what is the relation between the employee and the company brand. My brain works by examples. And this book is tailored for me.

04.16.07StyroStone main brochure
StyroStone entered the Romanian building market. They needed for start a brochure. They had nothing organized to explaining to the possible customers how the system was working. Another drawback was the difficulty explaining the advantages above the concurrence. Very few people checked the website, so a lot of customers were lost. Hopefully this collaboration with them will be fruitful
The project involved thinking the whole idea behind the brochure and the road we shall go on. Besides the actual graphic graphic designing and the desktop publishing, I had to create the text as well.
