Recently I was commissioned by Dr. Adriana Popa to create the corporate identity for her new company. It is a dentistry clinic in Iasi Romania. She was opened to all that is new. As a result of our first talk, I did a few sketches and then created the following pre-logos.

We had further discussions and more steps were made into our collaboration. We exchanged more sketches. The final result is the folowing.

multumesc draga de incurajari. Pai i-a placut doamnei doctor. Am facut mai multe variante si am modificat dupa gustul ei
Cand iti deschizi cabinet astept sa imi devii clienta si sa te numesc doamna doctor. Pot sa te ajut de la identitate vizuala la brosuri pliante si carti de vizita. Spor la invatat deocamdata!
When creating a corporate identity manuel, we have to assume that the logotype for the name, color choices, typestyles, and the logo have already been designed. Also some sort of signage. Then it’s the job of the art director or ad agency to put together guidelines for usage.
As their art director, I did all the Fedders Air Conditioning corporate studies in the seventies. It included every kind of indoor and outdoor situation imaginable: from stationary, all media, name badges, t-shirts, tradeshows, exhibits, etc.
Colors using PMS were specified and sizes were quite detailed. Examples were always displayed as colored photos and there were always samples of black and white alternatives.
As far as the ad campaigns, they should follow the logo designs, but were free to be as creative as they could.
Therefore, have those logo-usage guidelines in place first.
