Last week I started to design the poster for the company I work for. This poster is for the Embedded Systems Conference that will take place in Boston. The Process of Creating takes some steps. Soon we – the members of the marketing team – will decide on the final poster, and what tweaks it needs to be done.
Here are some of the posters I did. Maybe they look the same to you, but actually they are not the same – pay attention.

Jesus teaches us:
Within minutes they were bickering over who of them would end up the greatest. But Jesus intervened: “Kings like to throw their weight around and people in authority like to give themselves fancy titles. It’s not going to be that way with you. Let the senior among you become like the junior; let the leader act the part of the servant.
Luke 22:24-26
Between many projects in progress, one is more dear to me. It is the new Customer Newsletter I have to design. For now I create the template of the newsletter. Soon, I will be provided with the text to go with it. The customer newsletter is a powerful marketing tool. You draw all that customers, they are happy with your products. But, in time, if you do not remind them about you they end up forgetting your name. In the same time, do not send to many newsletters to your customers, because they’ll feel attacked. Once a month is enough to bother them.
Here are some cuts from what I’ve been working on in the last day or two…

Julie Beckham gives you some very general hints in her Tips for Creating an E-Newsletter. You can check it out
These are some new figures that I had to create. The OpenRISC 1200 is stronger

I was asked to update the eTools Design Flow figure that we use in some brochures, application notes and so on. So, here is the old one…

and here is the new eTools Design Flow figure

Imi place munca, bani de-ar fi
s-aduc in firma zi de zi.
Il plac pe sefu’ cel mai tare!
Si sefii lui, pe fiecare..
Iubesc biroul, ce-i pe el,
Concediul nu-l iubesc de fel !
Mobila gri plina de praf,
Hirtiile crescute vraf.
De munca mea sunt fericit,
Nimic atata n-am iubit .
Iubesc computerul fereastra
Cu scafirlia lui albastra.
Iubesc sedintele mai lungi
Cind am in creier cifre, dungi,
Iubesc, va spun acu’ din nou,
Sa stau o viata la birou!
Imi place munca, as munci
Mai mult in fiecare zi.
Nu vreau salariu, nu vreau stima,
Mi-ajunge critica drept prima.
Nu vreau nimic, decit un pat,
Fix in biroul meu bagat,
Langa PC-ul meu cel drag.
Sa pot munci aci non-stop
Pina se urca firma-n top!
Nu vreau nimic, dar am un dor,
Vreau la biroul meu sa mor,
Si sa ma-ngroape-ntre dosare
Ca pe Eminovici in mare….
Yesterday I was given a new task regarding the Embedded Systems Conference 2007 that will be held in Silicon Valley. Even if we have a main brochure and several other brochures and fliers that I previously did, the marketing management from USA decided to have a special brochure for this event.
I designed it based on the same graphic idea, that I talked about in my 1st blog ever. This is a 4 pages, letter format, brochure. I had to create some new graphics that we didn’t have before. Another challenge was that this is not an usual brochure based on columns. Although it has a lot of text I had to make it in another format as usual.
So here it is…
An this is the poster I did for this conference
